About This Site
I didn't plan on building this website anytime soon. As I was learning web development, I had a vague idea that maybe some day I shall have a site of my own, a lot like people fantasize having a home of their own. I simply didn't think I had it in me to build a fully functional website yet.
But then, two days ago (from the time I am writing this, 13th February, 2026), I remembered an instagram quote, saying, "Make it exist first. You can make it better later." And so, the day before yesterday, I started building this site. I didn't have a clear vision of what I wanted to build, but I knew I wanted to build something that would allow me to express myself and document my journey in learning web development and building projects., right after waking up, I started building.
I guess my loneliness combined with my irresistable urge to express myself took over me for the two days. I am generally not a person who starts a project and sees it through without some external pressure, which too I often tend not to care about. So, after spending an entire day and night, skipping meals and sleep and dealing with the consequences of that, yesterday morning, I finished it: a humble, unstyled, unoptimized website with barely any functions.
Now that it finally existed, I felt an intense 'peace'. As if, something went unquestionably right. Yes, it still needed a lot of work. Yes, it was barely styled and looked horrible on mobiles. Yes, for anyone but me, signing in was, and still remains, pointless... But the signing in works! The form submissions work! The database works, the backend works, the frontend interface works!
And hence, I finally slept. As I woke up in the evening, yesterday, I gave some final touches, and late at night, I bought the domain...
I do not dare to foresee where this journey ends. Any statistical analysis on life will predict that I will abandon this project too someday. But something inside me says, something is different this time. Maybe, just maybe, this is the very thing I needed...
As of now, there are only two meaningful sections in this site: 'My Open Diary', in which I intend to express myself as precisely as I can. Perhaps, in the process, I'll have my English skills back, which I once had as an ICSE/ISC student. Apart from this, in the 'Changes in the Site' section, I intend to log every change I make to this site, major or minor. My goal is to write them in a way that the nono-coders understand, and the coders don't get bored thinking 'this is too simple for my level'.
This site is for the human in me, and in all of us. I hope, while reading, you find yourself in contact with the part of yourself that you always wished to be...
